The leader in the coordination framework, Jabbar Odeh, confirmed on Sunday that the former prime minister will be brought to justice in 2023.
In an interview with Al-Maalouma, Odeh said, “The former Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, represented the worst period of rule in Iraq after 2003, and committed strategic mistakes in all dimensions, whether security or economic, and exposed the country’s security to grave risks.”
He added, “There is a higher committee to check the violations of the Al-Kazemi government and its staff, and there are a series of surprises that will be announced soon,” noting that “the former prime minister will be served by the hand of justice during 2023, and this matter is just around the corner.”
He pointed out that “the corruption discovered in the corridors of Al-Kazemi’s government is great, and the search is still underway to gather all evidence and evidence to convict him of those who were involved in looting and stealing public money.”
The Al-Kazemi government was heavily criticized by most of the political forces in the country due to the failure to perform its duties regarding several files, in addition to the exacerbation of the corruption file and the looting and theft of public money.
