On Wednesday, the leader of the Al-Fatah Alliance, Raad Al-Tamimi, accused America of secretly doubling its military presence in Iraq.
Al-Tamimi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The American presence at the Ain Al-Assad and Al-Harir bases is combat and not advisory, as promoted by Washington, and the latter is procrastinating in revealing the number of its soldiers in order not to reveal the truth of the agenda it seeks to achieve.”
He added, “We have information that America has doubled its presence in the Ain al-Assad and al-Harir bases in secret, especially with the start of the Zionist aggression on Gaza, to achieve three goals: continuing the occupation policy, confronting the resistance factions, and expanding their spread in the Middle East region, in light of the presence of 20 bases.”
He pointed out that “air supply lines have been increasing between the Al-Assad and Al-Harir bases with Syria and the Gulf for months,” noting that “the American presence threatens the stability of Iraq and removing it is part of supporting the national security system.”
American planes bombed the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Babylon and Anbar yesterday evening, resulting in the death of a martyr and the injury of others.
