Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Alia Nassif, revealed, on Tuesday, two main factors that may cause a delay in approving the budget for next year, noting that the next budget is linked to the government program, and this is the first time in the history of organizing budgets.
Nassif said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “The link to organizing a budget for the next year with the government program takes place for the first time in the history of organizing budgets,” noting that “this link will give a kind of credibility.”
And she added, “Whether or not the budget is delayed depends on resolving two major factors. The first is related to the great debate between the political forces on the issue of fixing the exchange rate, as well as fixing the price of a barrel of oil, in order to avoid bumps that may occur in oil prices.”
