Today, Saturday, the representative of the State of Law coalition, Muhammad Al-Ziyadi, revealed the latest developments in approving the general budget, calling on the government to send it to the House of Representatives before the sixth day of this month.
Al-Ziyadi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, that “the House of Representatives worked, through the internal system, to extend the second legislative term of the first year in order to work on approving the general budget,” noting that “the government must send the general budget before the sixth day of the month.” current.”
He added, “The Ministry of Finance and the concerned authorities continue their work in order to complete the inclusion of all paragraphs in the general budget.”
And he continued, “If the government succeeds in sending the general budget to the House of Representatives, the latter will continue to hold sessions until it is approved without going to the legislative recess.”
The Finance Committee had revealed, earlier, the size of the federal budget for the year 2023, which will amount to more than 210 trillion dinars (approximately 130 billion dollars), referring to the allocation of 8 trillion dinars for the regional development program, for the first time since 2003.
