The deputy of the “Al-Fath” coalition, Fadel Al-Fatlawi, Sunday (February 23, 2020), revealed the meeting of the Prime Minister-designate, Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi, with political forces this evening in the Green Zone, indicating that the names of the candidates will be presented to the media after they are presented to the political forces.

And, “Sunni and Kurdish forces, up to this point, have reservations about forming the government of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, but the Prime Minister-designate has invited the meeting to all political forces in order to prepare for the voting process to form the government.”
He stressed, “The parliament session will be held this week at all times, and in the event that it does not take place, it may be the end of this week,” stressing “the need for all political blocs to attend in the interest of everyone in entering into discussions and dialogues to support Allawi’s government.”

The Speaker of the Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, had called earlier today for an urgent meeting of the parliament’s presidency tomorrow, Monday.
