On Monday, MP and member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Muhammad Karim, highlighted the most important obstacles that stand in the way of the Chinese draft agreement and the Silk Road.

Karim said in a statement to the “Information” agency, that “the most prominent obstacles facing the Chinese draft agreement and the Silk Road are the current government, which sought to circumvent the project and went to implement other projects,” noting that “the government obstructed the people’s interest by moving away from the Silk Road.”

He added that “there is a parliamentary movement to pass and push the Chinese agreement and the Silk Project forward and implement them on reality,” stressing that “Parliament is not enough to implement the agreement and we need a government decision.”

He pointed out that “the Chinese draft agreement is one of the most important projects in Iraq, and we call on the government to expedite the implementation of this agreement.”

A member of the State of Law coalition, Fadel Mawat, considered, earlier, the Silk Road as “a fatal blow to the projects of the Gulf countries and America in Iraq,” explaining that it will fail all the plans of the countries that dominate the political situation in the country.
