[Baghdad-Wayne] An
informed source said today, Wednesday, that a delegation from the Construction Alliance discussed with the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, the name of the governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, for the post of prime minister.
The source said, in a press statement, that the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received, today, a delegation from the Construction Alliance, indicating that the meeting presented the name of the governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, to the post of prime minister of the next government.
The source added, “The delegation of the Building Alliance reaffirmed to the President of the Republic that it is the largest bloc.”
This comes at a time when the Construction Alliance candidate for prime minister, Qusay al-Suhail, announced today, Wednesday, his apology for assigning the prime minister.
