The U.S. Energy Information Administration announced on Sunday that Iraq exported more than 67 million barrels of crude oil and its derivatives to the United States during the first nine months of 2025.
A table issued by the administration, which was reviewed by Shafaq News Agency, showed that Iraq’s exports of crude oil and oil derivatives for the period from January to September 2025 amounted to 67 million and 977 thousand barrels.
The US Energy Information Administration indicated that Iraq’s exports to the United States fluctuated during this period, reaching 7.136 million barrels in January, 5.427 million barrels in February, then rising to 7.040 million barrels in March, 6.951 million barrels in April, and reaching 7.114 million barrels in May.
She added that exports rose in June to 8.262 million barrels, then to 9.528 million barrels in July, peaking in August at 10.234 million barrels, before falling in September to 6.285 million barrels.
According to the data, August saw the highest volume of Iraqi oil exports to the United States, while February recorded the lowest level during the same period.
According to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, Iraq’s exports to the United States are concentrated almost entirely on crude oil, particularly heavy crude, with limited or no exports of refined petroleum products.
