The Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Region announced on Sunday that it will deposit 120 billion dinars of non-oil revenues for the month of October into the account of the Federal Ministry of Finance on Monday.
The ministry had announced on November 25 that it had delivered the payroll lists of the region’s employees to the federal government in Baghdad for the month of October.
The last salary paid by the federal government to employees and workers in the public sector in the region was on November 29, 2025, when an amount of 941 billion and 874 million dinars was deposited into the account of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government at the Central Bank of Iraq in Erbil.
Under the agreement between Erbil and Baghdad, the Kurdistan Regional Government is required to hand over oil and non-oil revenues to Baghdad, while the federal government is obligated to provide the region with its financial entitlements, particularly salaries.
