Ali al-Fatlawi, a member of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, confirmed on Tuesday that the committees within the Coordination Framework have established clear criteria for selecting the prime minister without excluding any candidate.
Speaking to the Information Agency, al-Fatlawi stated, “There are no unreasonable conditions within the Coordination Framework,” indicating that “talk of obstacles stems from some internal disagreements and not from the framework’s operational mechanisms.”
He added, “The Coordination Framework is cohesive and harmonious in its management, operating according to a clear institutional approach, and all its constituent forces are working with a unified vision, without anything disrupting the selection process.” He explained that “the specialized committees have set future criteria for anyone aspiring to the premiership.”
He further stated that “the Reconstruction and Development Coalition and the State of Law Coalition have confirmed that there is no veto on any candidate for prime minister,” noting that “the current phase may witness the fastest selection process for a Shiite prime minister in the past twenty years.”
