Political analyst Qasim al-Tamimi believes that the close election results and the number of parliamentary seats will lead to the formation of a strong, consensus-based coalition government, different from its predecessor. Al-
Tamimi told Al-Maalouma, “The outlines of the coalitions have become clear through meetings between political leaders to agree on the structure of the government for the next phase. The largest bloc will be formed within the coordinating framework to establish the new government.”
He added, “Agreement will prevail among the parties within the coordinating framework, and a vote among its members regarding the government’s structure and the prime minister for the next phase is likely, especially given the close number of votes and parliamentary seats, which makes the balance almost even.”
He explained that “what will emerge from the framework in the coming days will be a consensus-based coalition government encompassing all parties. Consequently, it will be characterized by strength and stability and will be better than its predecessor, as it will address the problems encountered by the al-Sudani government.”
