Rebaz Hamlan, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s financial advisor, stated on Saturday that the region’s oil exports have reached more than 7.5 million barrels since they were resumed via the SOMO company through the pipeline to the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
Hamlan told reporters, as reported by Shafaq News Agency, that “more than 7 million and 500 thousand barrels of oil from the Kurdistan Region were sold through the SOMO company.”
He added, “We are continuing to deliver non-oil financial revenues to the federal government,” stressing that “there are no longer any technical problems regarding the salaries of Kurdistan employees between the regional government and Baghdad.”
The Kurdish government advisor revealed that a delegation from the regional government will go directly to Baghdad after the elections to decide the fate of the remaining salaries of the region’s employees for this year.
