I didn’t say that about the 1, 5 and the 10 but I did say that about the 50…I made it very clear. These are samples. These are specimens. These are examples…This is what they’re teaching them. They showed them a 1, 5 and 10. Were those the new notes? They showed them the 50…Was that the new note? …we said, this one may be official.

They moved cash, 120 billion dinars in cash, going to the unified system. In my view that’s a component of taking cash out of the system. Why? Because they’re going to a cash less society. The less cash they have, the note count reduces. It helps support the real effective exchange rate.

But by law, we cannot open an Iraqi bank account…so it’s very difficult for us to integrate our banknotes into the Iraqi economy, even if we wanted to do that…

I think there is a chance, but wouldn’t count on it. I would definitely take it with me at exchange time. Just in case. But I wouldn’t go out and buy any.

Iraq just released the new 50 dinar note. We’re looking at it. But the one and the five notes, they have not yet been issued. FRANK: The 50 dinar note is back…but a different one…that was canceled back in 2015…This is a reinstatement…You can’t mix oil and water together unless you have an emulsifier. That would be a new exchange rate. Oh, buddy! FIREFLY: It’s all over the news. We’re all excited… FRANK: I love where they say this 50 note marks the beginning of the role out of the lower notes.

So, let all the nay-sayers say what they want but this does not change the fact that we may be at the end of this RV saga and only just over a couple months to go.
