The President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received a congratulatory telegram from US President Donald Trump on the occasion of the (93) anniversary of Iraqi National Day, in which he affirmed the United States’ firm commitment to the strategic partnership with Iraq and cooperation in all fields to enhance regional stability.
In his message, Trump noted Iraq’s achievements this year, including hosting the Arab League Summit in Baghdad and a visit by the US-Iraq Business Council, stressing that these successes reflect Iraq’s resilience and growing leadership in the region.
The US President explained that his country will continue working with Iraq to enhance regional security, energy security, and joint efforts to prevent the return of ISIS terrorist gangs. He expressed his aspiration to deepen cooperation on shared priorities and build on the momentum of economic success.
