Agents infiltrated the commission - Iraqs election results are being pre-written in IranShafaq News – Translation
The American newspaper ” The Hill ” early on cast doubt on the integrity of the upcoming Iraqi elections, arguing that the results “are already being written in Tehran,” as the Independent High Electoral Commission includes “agents” who have infiltrated its ranks and are manipulating the process before the voting begins.

The American newspaper explained, in a report translated by Shafaq News Agency, that what is taking place is not a vote count, but rather a planned process through what is known as proportional distribution, whereby parliamentary seats are divided in advance among groups, including militias and political allies linked to the so-called “resistance” supported by Iran. This does not include only Shiite factions, but rather includes any group revolving around the Iranian orbit.

While the US report indicated that the Iraqi people were being robbed of their voice, it noted that this was not the democratic Iraq the United States promised when it toppled Saddam Hussein, adding that the incomplete US project had left a vacuum that Tehran had filled.

According to the report, Iraq’s elections are no longer about a clash of ideas or a competition for public trust. The report adds that the illusion of democracy masks the erosion of sovereignty as Iranian influence expands to every corner of Iraq. Washington must decide before the November 11 election whether to resist or surrender.

The report described what is happening as a “betrayal” not only of Iraqis who once believed in change, but also of the very principles the United States claimed to embrace in 2003 when it embraced freedom, but instead allowed the neighboring religious regime in Iran to seize control of Baghdad.

The report concluded that the United States can no longer tolerate a policy of ambiguity. As the Iraqi elections approach, it faces two important choices: either withdraw, leaving Iraq to the Iranian ayatollahs and accepting Baghdad’s subservience to Tehran, or, as a second option, confront Iranian interference, strengthen Iraq’s democratic institutions, and grant its people the sovereignty they deserve.

After warning that the choice to do nothing would mean surrender, the report explained that if the United States retreats after the Iraqi elections, the consequences will extend beyond Iraq, as every “Iranian proxy” will be emboldened, while Tehran will tighten its grip throughout the region, while Israel will issue increasing threats, and the United States’ allies in the Gulf will view this American passivity as an invitation to lean toward Tehran.

The report considered that this is not a problem of the Middle East, but rather a direct challenge to the credibility of the United States around the world. It also asked: “After years of sacrifice, trillions of dollars spent, and countless lives lost, what message would Washington send if it abandoned Iraq to its greatest regional adversary?”

The report concluded by stating that the Iraqi people have suffered from dictatorship, invasion, terrorism, and corruption, and should not now be condemned to live as pawns in Iran’s geopolitical game. It argued that Iraq has the potential to become a sovereign state, but only if Washington chooses to act before November 11.

He concluded that, for the United States, Iraq is more than just broken promises. The United States owes Iraq the opportunity to free itself from Iran’s grip. If Washington fails, the Iraqi people will not write Iraq’s story, but Tehran will.

The Hill report called on the United States to wake up, or Iran will be the one to write the final chapter. Whoever leads the United States must act before this catastrophe becomes irreversible.
