The Prime Minister’s Advisor for Transport Affairs, Nasser Al-Asadi, confirmed on Sunday that Iraq has become present on the global investment map, while pointing out that the Development Road project has entered its real path after completing the financial and economic studies. Al-Asadi said in a statement to the official agency, “Economic conferences represent an important step and lay the foundation for the development of the country,” indicating that “Iraq’s participation in these conferences is evidence that it has become strongly present on the global investment map,” indicating that “the investment opportunities offered within Iraq are diversifying year after year, as they amounted to about 160 investment opportunities this year, and the Development Road will have the largest share of them.”
He also added that “the number of investment opportunities has yet to be finalized due to their connection to other ministries,” noting that “the Development Road project has entered its true phase after the completion of financial and economic studies, and opportunities have become clear in eight key sectors.”
