Today, Monday, the leader of the Azm Alliance, Mohammed Ali al-Dulaimi, denied the allegations of the withdrawal of US forces from the Ain al-Assad base in the al-Baghdadi area of Hit District, west of Anbar.
Al-Dulaimi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “What is being circulated about the start of the withdrawal is false,” indicating that “the US forces only transferred unnecessary military equipment to the Syrian al-Tanf base and melted down what remained of it, but continued to carry out their operations using warplanes and drones.”
He added that “promoting the withdrawal process comes within the framework of media consumption aimed at gaining time and keeping the forces for a longer period.”
He pointed out that “the US forces transferred their equipment to the Harir and al-Tanf bases in Syria, while their forces remained there without fundamental changes.”
Al-Dulaimi pointed out that “ground reconnaissance operations have been canceled, and US missions have been limited to warplanes and drones only.”
