Iraq’s oil exports to the US surge to over 300,000 barrels per day

The U.S. Energy Information Administration announced on Sunday that it recorded a significant increase in Iraqi oil exports to the United States over the past week.
The administration said in statistics reviewed by Shafaq News Agency, “The average US crude oil imports during the past week from nine major countries reached 5.859 million barrels per day, an increase of 169 thousand barrels per day compared to the previous week, which reached 5.690 million barrels per day.”
She added, “Iraq’s oil exports to the United States reached an average of 303,000 barrels per day, an increase of 166,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week’s average of 137,000 barrels per day.”
The administration also noted that “the largest US oil revenues during the past week came from Canada, at a rate of 3.836 million barrels per day, followed by Mexico, at a rate of 407,000 barrels per day, Saudi Arabia, at a rate of 325,000 barrels per day, and Colombia, at a rate of 321,000 barrels per day.”
According to the table, “US crude oil imports from Brazil averaged 278,000 barrels per day, from Nigeria 179,000 barrels per day, from Ecuador 114,000 barrels per day, and from Venezuela 98,000 barrels per day, while no imports were made from Libya.”
