The Baghdad International Energy Forum 2025 kicked off in Baghdad today, Saturday, with the attendance of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. The official agency reported that the forum was organized by the Ghadan Risk Management Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Oil, with the participation of energy ministers, leaders of international organizations, and major global companies.
She added, “The forum will be attended by energy ministers from Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Iran, Turkey, and Libya, along with leaders from prominent international organizations such as OPEC and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), as well as Iraqi national institutions concerned with the energy sector, and representatives of major international companies operating in the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors, including: BP, TotalEnergies, Shell, Eni, Chevron, PetroChina, JAPEX, and Kuwait Energy.”
She also explained that “the forum represents an important platform for those seeking investment opportunities in the Iraqi market and strengthening long-term strategic partnerships.”
