MP Mohammed Al-Ziyadi confirmed on Thursday that the formation of the next government will be exclusively from within the Coordination Framework, stressing that the framework’s forces possess the cohesion and ability to decide the political scene after the upcoming elections.
Al-Ziyadi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “The next government can only emerge from within the Coordination Framework, as it is the only body that has the right and legitimacy to name the next prime minister.”
He added that “the forces of the Coordination Framework are cohesive among themselves and enjoy clear political consensus on the form of the next government and the mechanisms for selecting it,” indicating that “this understanding gives them a significant advantage in preparing for the upcoming elections.” Al-
Ziyadi pointed out that “the Coordination Framework has a wide chance of achieving significant results during the elections, thanks to the unity of its positions and its political program that supports stability and national sovereignty.”
He concluded by saying that “experience has proven that the framework is the bloc most capable of forming governments and managing strategic issues in Iraq, and that the next phase will strengthen this role.”
While the political arena witnessed divisions between various forces, the Coordination Framework maintained its internal cohesion through agreements between its main parties on many crucial issues, including those related to the foreign presence in Iraq.
