Member of the Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee, Bahaa al-Din al-Nouri, said on Wednesday that the disagreements hindering the passage of the Oil and Gas Law are political in nature, not technical.
Al-Nouri said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “The technical aspects are agreed upon between the concerned parties, but political disagreements are what hinder the legislation of the law.”
He added that “approving the law during the current session is very difficult due to the ongoing political disagreements over the draft law, which has led to the delay in its passage.”
