The US Energy Information Administration announced on Saturday that US oil imports from OPEC countries reached more than 33 million barrels in May 2025.
According to administration statistics reviewed by Shafaq News Agency, the total US oil imports for May amounted to approximately 248.293 million barrels, of which 33.813 million barrels were imported from OPEC countries.
The administration explained that Saudi Arabia topped the list of OPEC-based exporters to the United States, with a quantity of 10.687 million barrels, followed by Iraq, from which the United States imported 7.114 million barrels, including 4.790 million barrels of crude oil and 2.324 million barrels of non-condensed petroleum products (oils).
