Security expert, Qatari Al-Samarmad, revealed on Tuesday that the international coalition forces destroyed thousands of rifles and medium and heavy weapons through systematic melting operations, prior to their sudden withdrawal from the Ain Al-Assad base in the Al-Baghdadi district, west of Anbar province.
Al-Samarmad said in a statement to Al-Maalomah Agency, “The coalition forces collected huge quantities of rifles, ammunition and weapons inside the firing range at the Ain Al-Assad base, and then carried out a melting and complete destruction of this equipment, without handing it over to the Al-Jazeera Operations Command, despite a prior agreement to hand it over for use.”
He added, “The equipment that was destroyed included heavy and medium military equipment, in addition to burning large logistical equipment. The coalition forces used unknown materials to melt the weapons and turn them into metal rubble.
” Al-Samarmad confirmed that “the so-called international coalition forces, led by the United States, withdrew suddenly and before the agreed-upon deadline.”
