The Ministry of Finance announced today, Monday, that Rashid Bank has begun disbursing the first semi-annual interest on national bonds. The ministry stated in a statement that “the ministry announces that Rashid Bank has begun disbursing the first semi-annual interest to holders of national bonds (the first issue), confirming its commitment to the announced timetable and in coordination with the Central Bank of Iraq.”
The ministry also stated that “this measure enhances confidence in national bonds as a secure savings and investment instrument that contributes to supporting the national economy,” calling on “citizens, companies, and institutions holding bonds to visit the designated bank branches to receive their dues.”
