A member of the Rights Movement, Asifa Abbas Qader, called on Saturday for the complete withdrawal of foreign and Turkish forces from Iraqi territory starting next September, stressing that the presence of these forces represents a blatant violation of national sovereignty.
Qader said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, that “the presence of American or Turkish forces inside Iraqi territory constitutes a clear and explicit threat to the country’s sovereignty and internal security.”
She added that “the Turkish occupation is committing serious violations by targeting civilians and innocent children without any legal justification.”
She pointed out that “the presence of any foreign forces contradicts the United Nations charters and constitutes a clear violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and independence.”
She stressed that “the government of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani is obligated to implement the national requirement by withdrawing all foreign forces, especially the American ones, starting next September.”
