The Director General of the General Company for Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartousi, confirmed on Tuesday that the security forces protecting the Khor Abdullah Canal are working continuously to secure goods. Al-Fartousi told the official news agency that “there is continuous monitoring of all ships entering the Khor Abdullah Canal, and the Iraqi authorities are working to verify the official documents of all ships entering the canal,” adding that “territorial waters are subject to the law and authority of the state.”
