The government has made significant progress in implementing the objectives of its ministerial program, recording high achievement rates in several key areas, including infrastructure, energy, and services. This progress reflects the government’s commitment to the roadmap it announced at the beginning of the current session and its efforts to transform plans into tangible achievements.
The regular Cabinet session, held yesterday, Tuesday, under the chairmanship of Council Speaker Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, discussed the country’s general situation, followed up on the topics on the agenda, and took the necessary decisions regarding them.
The Council voted on the fifth semi-annual report on the stages of progress in implementing the government program, and referred it to the House of Representatives, which showed that the overall achievement rate in the government’s lifetime for the total targets of the government program reached (83) percent, as the last six months showed the highest rates in the overall achievement of the targets of the government program.
The government program witnessed remarkable digital progress in the achievement rates within the framework of the five main priorities, as it reached (90%) of achieving the targets, and within the framework of supporting the poor and vulnerable groups, the program achievement rate reached (98.7) percent.
Within the efforts to combat financial and administrative corruption, the target implementation rate reached (89.8) percent, while the rate reached (77.9) percent in the field of addressing the phenomenon of unemployment and creating job opportunities.
In the file of reforming the economic and financial sectors, the percentage of achieving the targets reached (79) percent, while the percentage in the service sector, its development and the provision of urgent services reached (76) percent.
During the session, recommendations were presented to address cases of deviation from the implementation of the government programme in all its sections.
