Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Yahya Al-Muhammadi, confirmed today, Monday, that the government committed a legal violation by not sending the 2025 budget tables to Parliament within the specified deadlines.
Al-Muhammadi said in a statement to / Al-Maalouma / agency, that “the government violated Article 77/Second of the Federal Budget Law, which stipulates that the tables for the new fiscal year must be sent before the end of the previous fiscal year.”
He pointed out that “the delay in sending the tables hinders the work of ministries and local governments and negatively affects the release of financial allocations,” stressing that “Parliament obligated the government to adhere to the constitutional timings to ensure the stability of government performance and the implementation of service projects.”
