Ibrahim Al-Sakini, a member of the State of Law Coalition, described the government’s silence regarding Trump and the American statements and accusations directed at Iraq as an attempt by Al-Sudani to secure a second term.
Al-Sakini told Al-Maalouma, “The Iraqi government, headed by Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, did not respond to the American statements and accusations directed at Iraq from time to time, especially during the war between Iran and the Zionist entity when America described Iraq as an unsafe and unstable country.”
He added, “The government did not respond to the American side or take a position, as it seeks to obtain a second term in power,” noting that “a second term will not be achieved and Al-Sudani will not obtain it, especially after he joined hands with the terrorist Al-Julani.”
He explained that “the silence regarding the American statements and accusations directed at Iraq from time to time comes to appease Trump, despite the existence of an Iraqi popular will that rejects such positions.”
