A member of the “Rights” movement, Asifa Abbas Qader, confirmed on Tuesday that the restoration of true national sovereignty will not take place unless US forces are expelled from Iraqi territory, stressing the need to support the Islamic Resistance in Iraq and popular activities that reject the foreign presence.
Qader said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “There is a widespread and growing popular rejection of the American presence, and the warnings of the Islamic Resistance regarding the need to close the US embassy and expel the occupying forces did not come out of nowhere, but rather came in response to the will of the Iraqi street.”
She added that “security and political sovereignty cannot be achieved unless the Iraqi government takes serious and decisive steps towards ending the US occupation,” considering that “the American presence represents a direct threat to the country’s stability and the independence of national decision-making.”
Qader explained that “complete salvation can only be achieved by expelling this hateful occupation from every inch of Iraqi territory,” stressing the importance of “supporting the Islamic Resistance and peaceful popular activities demanding the restoration of full sovereignty to Iraq.”
