Maliki adviser confirms High Level US delegation will arrive in Baghdad on Monday
Said Ali Moussawi, an adviser to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said the US delegation will arrive in Baghdad on Monday.
Moussawi said, “The U.S. delegation will arrive in Baghdad in the third of this month”, without mentioning of this delegation will be headed.
The Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton discussed recently in a telephone interview ready to visit a high-level U.S. delegation to Baghdad.
The news reports indicated that the U.S. delegation that will visit Iraq will be headed by Vice President Joe Biden U.S..
But the leader of the coalition of state law, Abbas al-Bayati said the absence of any sign of Biden’s visit to Iraq soon.
Bayati said: “Officials from the U.S. State Department would visit Iraq in the coming period, but he was not sure and validation of Biden’s visit to Iraq.”
He said: “The U.S. political situation now Preoccupied with the election and do not think that a senior US official to come into Iraq in the near.
