Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq revealed on Wednesday that official reserves have decreased by more than 11 trillion dinars in one year.
The bank stated in its latest report on financial and monetary indicators in Iraq for February 2025, which Shafaq News Agency reviewed, “The bank’s official reserves reached 127.20 trillion dinars in February, a decrease of 8.21% compared to the same period last year, when reserves reached 138.570 trillion dinars. This represents a loss of 11 trillion 370 billion dinars.”
He added, “The domestic public debt decreased in February 2025 to 82.81 trillion dinars, compared to last January, which amounted to 83.04 trillion dinars, and increased compared to February 2024, which amounted to 73.75 trillion dinars.”
