The North Oil Company announced, on Monday, the resumption of production in five oil wells within the Jambur field, located north of Kirkuk Governorate, after overcoming the technical challenges that hindered their operation during the past period.
The company stated in a statement received by Al-Maalouma Agency, that “the wells that were restarted bear the numbers: (27, 42, 23, 20, 69), and all of them are located within the Jambur field, which is considered one of the strategic and main fields in the Bakura area of Kirkuk.”
It indicated that “the resumption of production from these wells contributed to raising the production capacity of Kirkuk Governorate by 2,500 barrels per day of crude oil, which represents a new impetus in the context of enhancing local production.”
