The Parliament Presidency ordered, on Tuesday, the publication of the names of absent MPs and the suspension of their salaries.
The media department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by Al-Maalouma Agency, that “First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, directed the two departments (media and parliamentary) to publish the names of the members of the House of Representatives “absent” from today’s session and to deduct the prescribed financial percentage from their salaries.”
Earlier today, Tuesday, the House of Representatives failed to hold its session for the second day in a row, due to the lack of a quorum.
