Member of the Council of Representatives, Ibtisam Al-Hilali, demanded today, Sunday, to make fundamental amendments to the American agreement in light of Iraq’s security and economic recovery and its lack of need for foreign forces.
In a statement to / Al-Maalouma / agency, Al-Hilali said, “There is consensus within the Council of Representatives to adopt a decision obligating the central government to submit a new agreement paper that includes making fundamental amendments to the American agreement to end the violations.”
She added, “Making fundamental amendments to the American agreement during Trump’s term is a must in light of Iraq’s recovery in terms of security, economy and all areas, and there is no justification for the presence of these forces that have caused the violation of the country’s sovereignty on many occasions.”
He continued, “Trump’s visions do not match the aspirations of the Iraqi people, as his policy is aggressive and his management of crises is completely different from his predecessor Biden, which calls on us to deal firmly with the file of the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq, as the country does not need combat forces in light of the country’s security and political stability.”
