The Iraqi Ministry of Planning announced the date for the official announcement of the final results of the general population census, which will be revealed tomorrow, Monday, during an expanded press conference, which will be attended by a number of ministers and government officials, in addition to the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and ambassadors of various countries.
The population census in Iraq was conducted in November 2024, and it was initially announced that the population of Iraq reached 45.4 million people, with an almost equal distribution between males and females.
Despite the initial announcement, the announcement of the final results was postponed several times, as it was expected to be announced in 2023, but political circumstances and the delay in approving the federal budget contributed to postponing the census until October/November 2024.
