Central Bank of Iraq auction sells about 100% of foreign remittances in dollars

Shafaq News/ Today, Wednesday, foreign remittances in the Central Bank’s sales of the US dollar reached more than 95% with the participation of 8 banks.
Shafaq News Agency correspondent reported that the bank sold 288 million, 470 thousand, and 310 dollars in its auction today, covering it at a basic exchange rate of 1310 dinars per dollar for documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards, and at a rate of 1310 dinars per dollar for foreign transfers, and at a rate of 1305 dinars per dollar in cash.
He added that most of the dollar sales went to boost balances abroad in the form of transfers and credits, which amounted to 273 million, 970 thousand and 310 dollars, at a rate of 95%, compared to cash withdrawals amounting to 14 million and 500 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent pointed out that the number of banks that purchased cash dollars was one bank, while the number of banks that met requests to enhance balances abroad was 8 banks, and the total number of exchange companies participating in the auction was 18 companies.
