Parliamentary Economy Committee intends to amend the Investment Law

Member of the Parliamentary Economic and Investment Committee, Mohammed Radhi, confirmed today, Sunday, the committee’s intention to amend the investment law in the coming days.
Radhi told /Al-Maalouma/, “There is an urgent need to establish residential complexes in order to get rid of the current housing crisis in the country, and the Investment Authority is the body responsible for granting investments to establish these complexes.”
He added, “There is ambiguity regarding the implementation of the investment law and the nature of the bodies implementing it, as there are exceptions granted by higher committees in the Prime Ministry, and this creates a major problem that requires the Ministry of Planning to intervene to solve this problem.”
He indicated that “the House of Representatives identified many problems in the investment law and the establishment of residential complexes, and will work to amend the law in the coming days and determine the bodies that implement the law and how to coordinate between ministries regarding investments.”
