US social media accuses Biden of trying to assassinate TrumpAmerican social media was abuzz with a flood of “inaccurate” information that was not based on clear evidence sources, against the backdrop of Trump being subjected to an assassination attempt, as it was believed and claimed that “Biden was behind the attempt to assassinate Trump.”

Bloomberg said that moments after the incident, unfounded claims spread on major social media platforms, noting that the posts, including some written by American politicians holding elected office, claimed without evidence that President Joe Biden ordered the shooting at the rally.

Others have said without any basis that the incident was fabricated, or that posts have been circulated that misidentify the shooter, according to the site.

Bloomberg said that in the wake of major events, the facts of the event are not always immediately clear. Law enforcement authorities, including the Secret Service, the FBI, the Pennsylvania State Police and the Department of Justice, said they are continuing to investigate the motives for the shooting, confirming that it was an assassination attempt.

On X, several politicians accused Biden or his campaign of being “directly” behind the apparent shooting, without providing evidence.

“Joe Biden gave the orders,” Georgia Rep. Mike Collins posted, while Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, a leading contender for Trump’s vice presidential nomination, wrote on X that Biden’s campaign rhetoric “led directly to an assassination attempt on President Trump.”

Texas Representative Ronny Jackson pointed to unnamed left-wing figures he accused of being “directly responsible” for the events at the Trump campaign rally.

The three men’s posts on X had garnered more than 7.3 million views on Saturday evening, according to data from the social media platform.
