Today, Saturday, member of the Nabnai coalition, Ali Al-Zubaidi, stressed the removal of Turkish and American forces from the country and considering their presence as an occupation of Iraqi lands.
Al-Zubaidi said in a statement to the “Al-Ma’louma” agency, “The presence of the Turkish and American occupation deep in Iraqi territory is a serious and major violation of Iraq’s sovereignty,” noting that “this unjustified presence constitutes a threat to Iraqi national security, and therefore we must strive and work to remove those forces urgently and quickly.” ”
He called on “the government to intensify diplomatic and political efforts to remove those forces that are present illegally and to consider them as occupying forces, as they violate all international laws.”
He stated that “the government had previously promised the political forces and the people to end this file, which took a long time,” noting that “removing these forces falls on the responsibility of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.”
Earlier, Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandalawi confirmed Parliament’s intention to legislate a law ending any foreign presence during the current parliamentary session.
