On Monday, the State of Law coalition considered passing the general federal budget in its current form as tantamount to continuing the injustice of the central and southern governorates, while stressing that Washington had planned this scenario in order to fight the central and southern governorates.

The leader of the coalition, Ibrahim Al-Sakini, said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “All the hidden threats from the American administration and Ambassador Romanowski were clear during the previous period,” noting that “Washington’s pressures on the current government became clear through the general budget for the year 2024.”

He continued, “All historical eras witnessed the injustice of the Shiite component in their regions by depriving them of the goods provided by their governorates,” pointing out that “the absence of work and projects in the southern and central governorates is also a government responsibility.”

Al-Sakini concluded his speech: “Continuing to impose American dictates on the executive government will lead to its downfall during the coming period,” noting that “Washington planned this scenario in order to fight the central and southern governorates.”

In an interview with the Maalouma Agency, Ali Al-Zubaidi, a member of the Al-Fatah Alliance, criticized “the unfairness imposed by the government in the general federal budget,” while stressing that the representatives of the central and southern governorates are required to lift the “red card” against the reduction in financial allocations from the government.
