Representative Muhammad Fadel confirmed on Friday that Al-Issawi will win the presidency of the House of Representatives tomorrow.
Fadel said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “All readings lead to the fact that tomorrow’s session will be decisive in choosing the next Speaker of the House of Representatives in light of a political consensus to end the vacuum and proceed with choosing a competent person capable of managing this site.”
He added, “MP Salem Al-Issawi is the closest to winning, and there is political support from several forces due to his ability and competence, in addition to the fact that he is the candidate of the Sunni forces.”
He pointed out that “tomorrow’s session will decide the choice and the political forces each have an opinion, but in the final outcome the compass is pointing towards Al-Issawi.”
It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives has set a session for tomorrow, Saturday, as the date for deciding the position of presidency of the Council and putting the names of the candidates to a vote.
