Shafaq News/ The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, renewed, on Thursday, Iraq’s position rejecting the violations it is being subjected to under any pretext.
Rashid said in a speech during his participation in the 33rd Arab Summit in Bahrain that Iraq proceeds in its foreign relations according to principles, the most important of which are the principle of good neighborliness, non-interference in internal affairs, and respect for the sovereignty of other countries.
He pointed out that Iraq categorically rejects violations that affect its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and its safe citizens under any pretext, and the use of its lands as an arena for settling scores, or for the blood of its people to be a means to achieve the political goals of any party.
The President of the Republic warned against the continuation of these violations and the corresponding reactions, stressing that they would lead to the destabilization of the entire region.
Rashid touched on the situation in the country, stressing that Iraq is witnessing today an economic and service revolution that its government is adopting in opening projects and providing worthy services to its people, renewing the call for Arab countries to enhance opportunities for economic and investment cooperation in light of the political, material and human elements of success that Iraq possesses as an investment environment prepared to reach… To economic integration.
The Iraqi President also renewed his country’s firm stance towards the Palestinian issue, his support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of the ongoing brutal attacks, and his absolute solidarity with the Palestinian brothers in achieving their ambitions and aspirations and obtaining their full legitimate rights.
In conclusion, Rashid expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Syrian Arab Republic for accepting to waive the thirty-fourth regular session in 2025 in favor of Iraq in order to hold it in the capital, Baghdad.
