Shafaq News/ Cree Lighting, an American company specializing in LED lighting, expressed its readiness to establish an LED lighting factory in Iraq, according to what the Ministry of Planning announced in a statement today, Thursday.
The Ministry said in a statement today that its Minister Muhammad Ali Tamim, at his residence in the American capital, Washington, yesterday evening, Wednesday, a delegation representing the company, and during the meeting, the prospects for joint cooperation between the two sides and the aforementioned company in the field of transferring modern technology and opening a factory in Iraq were discussed.
The minister pointed out that Iraq has many important investment opportunities in various development sectors, including modern technology, stressing the government’s determination to introduce this technology into the work, services and project management sectors.
According to the statement, representatives of Cree Lighting confirmed the company’s readiness to enter, invest, and work jointly in the field of transferring modern technology and the possibility of establishing production lines for lighting (LED) in Iraq.
