Representative Salem Al-Anbuki confirmed today, Sunday, that political consensus is what decides the fate of 3 important laws in Parliament.
Al-Anbaki told Al-Maalouma, “For several sessions, political consensuses have become part of the mechanisms for presenting draft laws in the House of Representatives for the first and second reading before voting. Otherwise, proceeding with them becomes difficult and complicated at the same time.”
He added, “The general amnesty, oil and gas laws, and the Federal Court cannot be passed without political consensus, pointing out that “the matter needs more time.”
He pointed out that “there is a political consensus to proceed with important laws according to contexts that meet the public interest, especially since delaying them is harmful.” It delays the resolution of important files such as the oil and gas law.”
Consensus forms part of the mechanisms for passing laws through voting in the House of Representatives, which caused a delay in the resolution of some laws for several sessions, including oil and gas.
