Today, Wednesday, Finance Minister Taif Sami announced that the data related to the 2024 budget schedules had been completed and sent to the Council of Ministers.
The Media Department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by Al-Maalouma that “The Finance Committee, headed by Atwan Al-Atwani and in the presence of its members and a number of members of other parliamentary committees, hosted the Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, the Director-General of the Customs Authority, and the Director-General of the General Authority for Taxes, to discuss the automation of the financial system for taxes and customs duties.”
For her part, the Minister of Finance explained, “Completing the data related to the 2024 schedules, inserting the texts and sending them to the Council of Ministers, while she provided an explanation of the ministry’s work mechanism.”
The head of the committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, confirmed that “other meetings and encounters were held in order to study the file in detail to come up with unified results,” adding, “The committee takes the issue upon itself and follows up on the work and submits a report on it as it is one of the basic revenues in supplementing the general budget.”
