Today, Thursday, the head of the organizing body of the popular movement, Hussein Ali Al-Karaawi, considered the Iraqi government incapable of liberating Iraqi funds from the control of the US Federal Bank.
Al-Karaawi told Al-Maalouma, “The dollar has become external dimensions for which the United States of America bears responsibility, indicating that the citizen pays the price of the American sanctions on the country.”
He added, “The American pressure on Iraq aims to achieve several goals, including prolonging the stay of American forces and besieging the Iraqi people.”
Earlier today, a member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Moeen Al-Kadhimi, accused the United States of America of exercising arbitrary measures towards the Sudanese government.
