Today, Sunday, Member of Parliament Muhammad Al-Sayhoud revealed the date for the withdrawal of foreign combat forces from Iraq, while confirming that the end of this year will witness the withdrawal of all combat forces according to a timetable prepared for the withdrawal process.
Al-Sayhoud said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “All influential parties in the political arena agreed on the withdrawal of American combat forces from the country,” noting that “the position of supporting the countries of the world in achieving complete independence for Iraq has become clear.”
He continued, “The security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces have reached a high stage of development and capabilities, and this is what enables them to preserve the security and safety of the country,” pointing out that “the government is proceeding with great seriousness in the issue of removing foreign forces in accordance with diplomatic and political contexts.”
He continued, “The government presented the issue of confirming the removal of these forces in all international forums and recent meetings,” adding that “the end of this year will witness the removal of all combat forces according to a timetable prepared for the withdrawal process.”
The State of Law coalition had called, in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to issue a decision to remove American forces from Iraq immediately, while confirming that America continues to violate all security agreements concluded with it.”
