Vice proposes the establishment of a fund to pay off Iraq’s debt

BAGHDAD – Al Sabah
suggested by the Economic Commission deputy Ibrahim Rikabi, the establishment of a fund especially for the payment of Iraqi debts of Foreign Affairs and deducted his money from oil imports, according to the mechanism so as to not affect the general budget.
Rikabi, through a press statement that Iraq’s debt began to accumulate and increase in value over time because of the lack develop an accurate plan of how to pay the money owed by Iraq, and left behind by the former regime, and liver of the country large sums of money as a result of his hostility is unjustified.
He explained that most of the foreign debt owed by Iraq turned off by the efforts of diplomats from the appropriate Iraqi owed the Paris Club or some European countries and the U.S., and remained compensation Kuwait and other Arab states under the protection of Iraq.
calling for the need that the Government develop specific mechanism based on a scientific plan calculated to pay off the debts owed by Iraq in order not to accumulate and increase in value, through the development of a special fund be deducted a certain percentage of the financial revenues received by the country, whether of oil or others, and continued to collect a certain amount of pay which some of the debt annually, so as not to affect the overall public budget.
