About a billion dollars in Iraqi Central sales last weekShafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq’s total sales of hard currency to the US dollar during the past week amounted to about one billion dollars.

The economic correspondent of Shafaq News agency said that the Central Bank sold during the past week, and for the four days in which the auction opened, 889 million 782 thousand and 342 dollars, at a daily rate of 222 million 445 thousand and 585 dollars, up by 0.26% from what was recorded in the previous week, whose daily selling rates reached 221 million 858 thousand and 429 dollars.

The highest dollar sales during the past week were on Thursday, when sales amounted to 232 million 286 thousand and 896 dollars, while the lowest sales were on Sunday, when sales amounted to 217 million 717 thousand and 136 dollars.

Sales of foreign remittances during the past week amounted to 773,632,342 dollars, an increase of 85% compared to cash sales, which amounted to 116,150,000 dollars.

The correspondent explained that the sales went in the form of cash and transfers abroad to finance foreign trade, while the selling price of documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards amounted to 1,305 dinars per dollar, while the selling price of remittances abroad and the cash sale price amounted to 1,310 dinars per dollar.
